Quietly open for business

Quietly open for business

I’ve was in a bit of a conundrum of whether it was actually the right thing to do to stay open during this time..

The truth is at the end of February 2020 I handed in my notice at work to make my beloved Bous candles (a little tiny egg of a business) to become something of a full time venture.  The main reason for this is it sparks massive joy in my life.  A full creative leash, a constant experiment and an opportunity to bring slow mindful making back.

For those that don’t know I’ve spend the last umpteen years as lingerie designer, working in all levels of the market from the heights of the market (Harrods and Neiman Marcus) down to the high street retailers.  I’ve always worked on the development side as this has always fuelled my inquisitive mind.

Making candles started on my kitchen table 5 years ago, I made them for personal use but I soon began making them for friends and family and it has grown and grown.

I am still open for business via my website where I aim to ship orders in the normal time frame.  I am adhearing to the government guidelines for COvid-19.

I‘d like to thank you all for shopping independent during this time it really means a lot.
